Science Adventure's Quarterly: The Outer Worlds 2 Collector's Guide
Unravel the Secrets of Paradise Island: Your Guide to Collecting All Science Adventure's Quarterly Volumes
The Hunt Begins: Discovering Volume One
Your journey to collect the first volume takes you to Westport, specifically a house situated in the northwestern part of the settlement, just above an area teeming with Crabble creatures. Look inside this central house in the southern row, where the magazine awaits on a bed. Westport itself is a significant Protectorate settlement on Paradise Island's eastern coast, easily accessible by heading east from Fairfield.
Southern Shores: Retrieving Volume Two
Venture to the southernmost tip of Paradise Island to find the second volume. It's located at the Befuddled Fisherman's residence, reachable by traveling south from the Landing Pad. The magazine can be spotted on his porch, resting on a table beside a lantern and two chairs.
Ministry Proximity: Securing Volume Three
Volume three is found on a pier just north of the Ministry of Accuracy. This location is part of a fisherman's dwelling. You'll visit the Ministry during quests like 'Milverstreet or Kaur,' or you can simply head west from Fairfield to reach this area. The magazine is on an outdoor table.
Across the River: Locating Volume Four
To acquire the fourth volume, you must cross the river north of Westport. An upgrade allowing double jumps, such as the P.A.L.E., will be necessary to traverse the rocks. Once across, seek out a fishing platform where the magazine lies on a table to your right. Alternatively, you can reach this spot by going right from the Vox Relay fast travel point and taking the lift down to the riverbank.
Farming Settlement Find: Claiming Volume Five
The fifth volume resides in a small farming settlement northwest of Fairfield, a path you'll likely cross en route to the Ministry of Accuracy. The magazine is inside the central house of this settlement, found resting on a desk.
Eastward Expedition: Discovering Volume Six
Continue your search eastward from Fairfield along the shore to another fisherman's house for the sixth volume. It's partially obscured on a bed by a janitor bot diligently cleaning, so keep a keen eye out.
Drop Pod Environs: Retrieving Volume Seven
Volume seven is located in the easternmost of two houses situated east of the Drop Pod Landing Zone. This area, easily identifiable by numerous drop pods and Raptidons, is on the western side of the island's northern end. The magazine can be found on a desk inside the house.
Crabbing Tower Ascent: Securing Volume Eight
The eighth volume is at the Crabbing Tower on the western side of the island. To get there, travel south from the Landing Pad, loop around the southern coast, and then proceed north past the Mysterious Cave, home to the Skeleton Crabble. Climb the ladder on the tower's left side to reach the top room, where the magazine is on a table.
Raptidon-Infested Hill: Locating Volume Nine
Discover the ninth volume in a Raptidon-filled house atop a hill, south of Sovereign's Sweet Spire Grove. Access the grove by repairing the lift west of Fairfield or by scaling the nearby cliff. You'll need to unjam the door to enter the house, and the magazine will be on the bed.
Northwest Pier: Claiming Volume Ten
The final volume awaits on a pier along the far northwest coast of Paradise Island, where Raptidons and Crabbles are locked in battle. This pier is north of the Drop Pod Landing Site. The magazine can be found on a small table, marking the completion of your collection.
