Pokémon TCG Pocket: New Expansion and Enhanced Trading Features Revealed
Unleash New Powers: 'Wisdom of Sea and Sky' Expansion Arrives!
A Deep Dive into the Latest Expansion: Wisdom of Sea and Sky
Despite the absence of an announcement during the recent Pokémon Presents event, The Pokémon Company swiftly revealed the upcoming 'Wisdom of Sea and Sky' expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket. This new set will spotlight legendary Pokémon Lugia and Ho-Oh, paying homage to the beloved Generation 2. Collectors can anticipate exclusive ex cards, alongside stunning full-art and shiny variations. Classic starters Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile will also be featured, making this expansion a must-have for fans. The release is scheduled for July 30th.
Revolutionizing the Trading System: A Player-Centric Overhaul
Beyond the excitement of new cards, the most impactful announcement is the comprehensive redesign of the in-game trading system, also launching on July 30th. This update directly addresses player feedback, aiming to simplify and enhance the exchange process. A new wishlist feature will allow players to specify desired cards, making it easier for others to initiate trades. Users can curate a wishlist of up to 20 cards and highlight three key items on their profile for greater visibility.
Farewell to Trade Tokens: Welcome Shinedust!
In a major shift, the cumbersome Trade Tokens will be phased out and replaced by 'Shinedust.' This new currency will be more readily available, automatically accompanying any duplicate card pulls. Shinedust will facilitate trades for cards of varying rarities, including three-diamond, four-diamond, and one-star. Existing Trade Tokens can be converted into Pack Hourglasses or Shinedust within the in-game shop, ensuring a smooth transition for all players. This change promises to streamline the trading experience, enabling players to complete their collections with greater ease and efficiency.
