Mastering the Melancholy: Unlocking Sadness in Disney Dreamlight Valley's Emotional Update
Unlock the Depths of Emotion: Bringing Sadness to Your Dreamlight Valley!
Setting the Stage for Sadness's Arrival: Prerequisites and Preparations
Before you can extend an invitation to Sadness, a foundational step involves successfully completing all quests associated with recruiting Joy. This includes the pivotal 'Dream On!' quest, which bestows upon you a crucial item necessary for initiating contact with Sadness. With this prerequisite fulfilled, you are ready to delve into the more intricate process of welcoming this unique emotion to your vibrant valley.
Navigating the Emotional Terrain: The 'Get Up and Glow!' Quest Begins
Once you possess the 'Go Go Glow Lightstick'—a creation of Joy's from the 'Dream On!' quest—your next step is to return to the 'Inside Out' realm and engage with Sadness. Your joint objective is to journey towards long-term memory. However, the path is obstructed by an "emotional earthquake," scattering rocks in your way. Utilize your trusty pickaxe to clear these obstacles, requiring no special potions, and proceed into a large chamber adorned with three paddle puzzles.
Unraveling the Mind's Labyrinth: Solving the Paddle Puzzles
Upon entering the puzzle chamber, you'll notice one paddle puzzle is incomplete, missing a vital button. To acquire it, first interact with the puzzle on the right. Activate the middle button, followed by the right button, which will cause a tower to descend. This action reveals a section filled with more breakable rocks; among them lies the missing button for the first puzzle. Retrieve this button and return to the initial console. To solve this puzzle, press the left button once, then the right button once, and finally the middle button once.
Gathering Fragments of Memory: The Search for Four Core Memories
With the puzzles resolved, your next task is to collect four essential memories. The first two are located conveniently: one beside the recently solved puzzle and another within the area where you found the missing button. The third memory awaits in the hallway that led you into this segment of long-term memory, while the final memory is situated down a short corridor leading to the last paddle puzzle at the rear of the room. Gather all these memories and then reconnect with Sadness.
A Star's Grand Entrance: Preparing for the Dream Sequence
After collecting the memories, Sadness will instruct you to send them back to Headquarters via a recall tube, necessitating your return there as well. At Dream Headquarters, the atmosphere calls for a popstar-worthy spectacle. Decorate the stage using concert-themed furniture from the Productions platform—mirroring your previous efforts when assisting Joy. Examples include light towers, speakers, a cannon, and a DJ booth. Arrange these items, converse with Sadness, and then prepare your attire. Filtering your wardrobe to display only "bold" clothing items can streamline this part of the process.
The Grand Finale: Welcoming Sadness to the Valley
Once your pop concert setup is complete and your bold outfit is donned, speak to Sadness again and present her with the 'Go Go Glow Lightstick.' Interact with the microphone on the stage to initiate the dream sequence, marking the end of the 'day' and transporting you back to headquarters. Reassure Sadness of her welcome in the valley, and the "Welcome, Sadness!" routine will activate upon your return home. Conclude the quest by speaking to Sadness one last time; she will return the lightstick, signifying the successful completion of the 'Get Up and Glow!' quest.
