Discovering Banandium Gems in Donkey Kong Bananza's Planet Core Layer
Unearth Every Golden Treasure Before the Ultimate Confrontation!
Navigating the Initial Depths of Sublayer 1600
Upon your arrival in Sublayer 1600, a trove of three Banandium Gems awaits discovery. The very first gem is conspicuously positioned directly ahead as you descend into this molten landscape, a testament to your initial triumph. For the second gem, pivot immediately upon landing; it rests atop a distant platform. Employ the Ostrich Bananza to gracefully glide across the chasm, then seamlessly transition to Snake Bananza to ascend the precarious tower. Lastly, the third gem is surprisingly nestled within the belly of a massive K. Rool statue. A powerful punch to its midsection will reveal this grotesque yet rewarding find.
Unveiling Secrets Within Sublayer 1601's Fiery Expanse
Within Sublayer 1601, four additional Banandium Gems challenge your agility and strategic thinking. To claim the fourth gem, scale the cliff behind Fractone Fort's Warp Gong. Observe the floating, shifting platform in the fort's center. Hurl a chunk at it, then transform into an Ostrich to soar towards it. Swiftly switch to Snake form and execute a charged jump towards the barrel, which will propel you to the gem's location. The fifth gem is a reward for successfully completing the "Shifty Smash" challenge located on the cliff face above the Warp Gong. This task demands you assume Elephant Bananza to absorb the molten lava, followed by a switch to Kong Bananza to shatter the concrete and shifty barriers. The sixth gem is granted by the Smashintone near the Warp Gong; simply engage in conversation with them after obliterating 70,000 cubic meters of gold. Finally, the seventh gem can be acquired by exchanging Banandium Chips and gold with a concierge, either at a designated getaway spot or at the dedicated Chip Exchange on Sublayer 1606.
Conquering the Perils of Sublayer 1602
Sublayer 1602 holds a singular Banandium Gem, a testament to your endurance. This eighth gem is effortlessly obtained through natural progression along the main path, serving as a reward for navigating a particularly arduous and thorny terrain. Your journey through this gravelly gauntlet will naturally lead you to this valuable collectible.
Traversing the Gooey Challenges of Sublayer 1603
Two more Banandium Gems can be found within the sticky confines of Sublayer 1603. The ninth gem becomes visible immediately after your arrival. Step onto the initial pink goo path, allowing the ravenous crocodile to forge a blue goo bridge. Swiftly cross both the blue and pink goo sections to seize the gem. Concurrently, another hungry crocodile will construct a blue goo wall, facilitating your ascent to the next level. The tenth gem is a natural acquisition as you advance along this path, perched at the summit of the combined pink and blue goo tower, rewarding your persistent traversal.
Unlocking Treasures in Sublayer 1604's Canyons
Two Banandium Gems are concealed within Sublayer 1604. After detonating the explosives on the spinning circular platform, peer down to locate the eleventh gem resting on a floating platform below. The twelfth gem is woven into the narrative's fabric; it will be revealed after you successfully complete the sequence involving switches and gliding maneuvers, marking a significant progression in your adventure.
Puzzling Finds in Sublayer 1605
Sublayer 1605 presents a single Banandium Gem, shrouded in mystery. The thirteenth gem is not accessible during your initial visit to the Planet Core. It is hypothesized that this gem can only be acquired upon further advancement in the game's story, potentially after completing the main narrative. Additionally, the fourteenth gem is bestowed upon you as a part of the story's progression, immediately following your victory over the imposing Stompenclomper.
Mastering the Trials of Sublayer 1606
Three Banandium Gems await discovery in Sublayer 1606. Upon disembarking from the minecart at this sublayer, descend below the minecart station to locate Quiztone. Engage with them and correctly answer their questions to earn the fifteenth gem. The correct responses are: "Seals," "Powerful," and "Quiztone." For the sixteenth gem, before dropping into the central hole, ascend the stone on the right side and gaze over the edge. A "Shifty Smash" challenge will become visible on a platform below. Transform into a snake, acquire a chunk, and execute a charged jump through the shifting platforms to reach the summit. The seventeenth gem is found by ascending to the peak of the Fractone Cradle. From the stone on the right, traverse the edge to the large metal structure, then use Snake form's charged jump and double jump to reach the top. Upgrading your charge jump can significantly ease this ascent.
Surfing and Surviving in Sublayer 1607
Sublayer 1607 holds two Banandium Gems, both intimately linked to its unique "Turf Surfing" challenge. As you glide across the thorny terrain, a pillar of thorns will appear on the left. Strike an enemy into this pillar to clear the thorns, allowing you to climb up and claim the eighteenth gem. The nineteenth gem is a straightforward acquisition, appearing at the very conclusion of the Turf Surfing segment, marking your successful navigation of this treacherous course.
A Brief Reprieve in Sublayer 1608
Notably, Sublayer 1608 contains no Banandium Gems. This section serves purely as a transitional area within the Planet Core Layer, offering no additional collectibles.
Reaching the Summit in Sublayer 1609
Two final Banandium Gems can be located in Sublayer 1609. The twentieth gem is obtained by listening to Cranky Kong's insightful rant. He can be found on a raised platform to the left, just before you take the minecart into the planet's core. The twenty-first gem, a vibrant cluster of orange bananas, is your well-deserved reward for defeating the formidable King K. Rool, signifying a major milestone in your adventure. Finally, the twenty-second and twenty-third Banandium Gems remain elusive on your initial visit to the Planet Core Layer. Like earlier mysterious gems, these are believed to become available only after you have progressed further in the main story or successfully completed the entire game, inviting future exploration.
